Visual sources are an important part of my research and teaching. A sample of photographs that I have taken in places that were once part of the Ottoman empire (including Turkey, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lebanon, Egypt, Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria) that appear in my lectures and work are posted below.
